[edit] Project Description
NeL is a mature open-source game development framework aimed at easing the creation of open-source MMORPGs. NeL contains all of the essential modules for the creation of games: 3D, sound, networking, physics and content creation. It also includes a robust set of services necessary to create an online game ready to run out of the box with no code modification - you only need to create the services that implement your game logic and write a client to suit your game play.

[edit] Mentor Capacity
We have several potential mentors who have been with the project for many years in varying capacities. Our potential mentors are also from locations in both Europe and the United States, giving us some flexibility with our time schedule.
[edit] Links to Information about our Community
All development is done publicly on the Internet. IRC is our primary communication medium. The forum is in use but decisions are usually made on IRC. People interested in how we work together, and how they could join us, should therefore try out the game, and join the IRC channel to talk with the developers (and report bugs!). Our website and wiki contain little information, as we focus our limited resources on developing the game, but both are certainly worth skimming through in order to learn more about NeL.
